Glass Vacuum Lifters: Surface Contact, Rotation and Placement

Panel weight is only the starting point. Describe the surface, dimensions, orientation and travel route when comparing the vacuum lifting series with the 500 kg model.

Suction contact and the workpiece

The suction-pad arrangement must suit the surface and dimensions of the panel. Coatings, texture and contamination can affect contact, so a nominal lifting capacity alone does not confirm compatibility. Provide panel thickness, weight and surface details, and identify how the panel is presented for pickup. Use the selected equipment instructions for preparation and checks.

Rotation, turnover and travel

Rotation changes the panel direction within its plane, while turnover changes its angle between positions such as horizontal and vertical. Travel moves the machine and load through the site. The published 500 kg model lists manual rotation and turnover functions; this must not be interpreted as powered motion or permission for every handling position.

Plan the final approach

Measure doorways, turning space, ground conditions and the clearance at the installation point. Compare the permitted load at the required reach and orientation, not only at the pickup position. Ask which movements are manual or powered and whether the suction layout matches the workpiece. These details distinguish a suitable configuration from a similar-looking machine.
