Description

Suspended Platform Systems for Sale

A suspended platform provides temporary powered access for facade construction, window cleaning, exterior painting and high-rise maintenance. BuildingLift supplies modular ZLP systems in several load capacities, with steel, galvanized steel and aluminum platform options.

ZLP Model Comparison

ModèleCharge nominaleTypical platform lengthStandard lifting height
ZLP500500 kg5 m100 m
ZLP630630 kg6 m100 m
ZLP800800 kg7.5 m100 m
ZLP10001000 kgProject configuration100 m

The final suspended platform configuration depends on working height, required load, platform length, roof conditions and local regulations. Voltage, color, surface treatment, wire-rope length and export packaging can be specified for the project.

Standard Equipment

  • Modular platform sections and end stirrups
  • Two electric hoists with service brakes
  • Automatic safety locks
  • Separate working and safety wire ropes
  • Electric control box with emergency stop
  • Upper limit switches
  • Roof suspension beams and counterweights

Steel platforms are economical and durable. Hot-dip galvanizing adds corrosion protection, while aluminum reduces handling weight during assembly and relocation.

Applications

The suspended platform is commonly used for curtain wall installation, facade rendering, painting, waterproofing, inspection, repair and window cleaning. It may also be configured for tanks, chimneys, bridges and industrial structures when the support arrangement has been reviewed for the site.

For a detailed 630 kg configuration, review the ZLP630 electric suspended platform. Buyers comparing multiple capacities can see the temporary ZLP platform range.

Safety and Installation Requirements

Installation should be completed by trained personnel using the equipment manual and an approved layout. Roof beams, counterweights, wire ropes, platform fasteners and electrical connections must be inspected before use. A controlled functional test and load test should be completed as required by the applicable procedure.

Daily checks should cover safety-lock operation, hoist braking, emergency stop, limit switches, cable condition and wire-rope wear. The OSHA scaffold requirements provide a reference for suspended scaffold safety in the United States; projects must also comply with local rules.

How to Choose a Suspended Platform

First calculate the combined weight of workers, tools and materials. Select a rated capacity that provides sufficient margin without exceeding the equipment limit. Then determine the usable platform length and confirm that the facade layout allows safe vertical travel.

Provide roof photographs and parapet dimensions so the suspension mechanism can be reviewed. Standard beams suit many flat roofs, while parapet clamps or custom supports may be required on restricted roofs. The working ropes, safety ropes and cable must cover the full operating height.

Confirm the power supply before production. Hoists and control boxes can be supplied for different voltages and frequencies, but all electrical components must match the site supply.

Shipping, Maintenance and Spare Parts

Components are normally packed by group for container transport. During unloading, check the packing list and store electrical parts in a dry location. Wire ropes should be protected from kinks, sharp bends and corrosion.

Routine maintenance includes cleaning the hoists, inspecting brake and drive components, checking safety locks and replacing damaged cables or worn rope guides. A basic spare-parts package can reduce downtime. Replacement support is listed on the pièces détachées pour plateformes suspendues page.
