Main Components

  • Modular working platform with end stirrups
  • Two electric hoists and service brakes
  • Automatic safety locks acting on separate safety ropes
  • Electric control box with lifting, lowering and emergency-stop controls
  • Working wire ropes, safety wire ropes and weather-resistant electric cable
  • Roof suspension mechanism and counterweights

The suspended working platform can be supplied with cast-iron, concrete or steel-covered counterweights. Roof beams or parapet clamps are selected according to the building structure and engineering review.

Window Cleaning and Facade Applications

The ZLP630 platform gives cleaning and maintenance teams direct access to glass, cladding joints, sealant areas and facade fixtures. It can also support light tools and replacement materials within the rated load. Typical work includes window washing, glass inspection, sealant replacement, exterior painting and curtain wall maintenance.

For general construction access, compare the ZLP630 electric suspended platform. Projects requiring different capacities can review the temporary suspended platform range.

Safety and Daily Inspection

A suspended working platform must be installed and operated by trained personnel. Before each shift, check the roof suspension mechanism, counterweights, wire ropes, safety locks, hoist brakes, electrical cable, emergency stop and platform fasteners. Independent personal fall protection may also be required by local regulations.

The OSHA scaffold requirements provide a reference for suspended scaffold work in the United States. The project must also follow local work-at-height rules and the equipment manual.

Choosing the Platform Configuration

Provide the facade width, working height, roof photographs and required load before ordering. A six-metre platform is common for straight facades, while shorter sections can be useful around narrow elevations or recessed areas. Aluminum alloy reduces handling weight; steel offers a durable and economical structure.

Confirm the site voltage and frequency before production. The hoists, control box and power supply must match. Working ropes, safety ropes and cable should cover the full operating height with a suitable allowance.

Maintenance and Spare Parts

Keep the hoists, safety locks and control box clean and protected from water during storage. Wire ropes with broken strands, severe corrosion, flattening or kinks must be removed from service. Worn rope guides, damaged cables and defective control components should be replaced before operation.

Common spare parts include contactors, control buttons, limit switches, hoist wear components, safety locks and wire-rope guides. See the pezzi di ricambio per piattaforma sospesa page for replacement support.

Shipping and Site Preparation

Platform sections, hoists, control boxes, suspension beams and counterweights can be packed separately for container loading. The packing list should be checked during unloading so that small electrical parts and fasteners are not misplaced. Store wire ropes in a dry area and prevent sharp bends during transport.

Before installing the suspended working platform, prepare a level assembly area and confirm that the roof can accommodate the proposed suspension arrangement. The site team should have suitable lifting tools, electrical testing equipment and personal protective equipment. A controlled no-load and rated-load test should be completed according to the operating manual before workers use the equipment at height.
