Information Needed for Part Identification
Provide the ZLP model, rated load, hoist model, voltage and wire-rope diameter when requesting parts. Clear photographs of the existing component, nameplate and electrical connections help confirm compatibility.
For electrical parts, include the control-box voltage and frequency. For hoist parts, provide the hoist model and serial or nameplate information. Safety locks must match the platform configuration, rope diameter and applicable inspection requirements.
Electric Hoists
Hoists contain drive, brake, rope-guiding and casing components that are subject to wear. Unusual noise, poor lifting performance, rope jamming or delayed braking should be investigated before the equipment returns to service. Internal repairs should be completed by qualified personnel.
If a complete platform is required rather than replacement parts, review the ZLP630 electric suspended platform.
Safety Locks and Wire Ropes
Safety locks act on independent safety ropes when abnormal platform tilt or rope movement occurs. Locks should be kept clean, tested according to the prescribed procedure and removed from service if operation is uncertain.
Wire ropes must match the hoist and lock specification. Inspect for broken strands, corrosion, flattening, kinks and heat damage. Do not continue using a rope that exceeds the permitted wear or damage limits.
Control Boxes and Electrical Parts
Control boxes normally contain contactors, relays, phase protection, terminal blocks, transformers, push buttons and emergency-stop controls. Electrical replacement parts must match the original voltage, current rating and wiring arrangement.
Disconnect and secure the power supply before inspection. Damaged cables, loose terminals or burned components should be corrected before operation.
Inspection and Maintenance
Regular inspection reduces unplanned downtime and helps identify wear before a component fails. Maintenance records should include the component replaced, installation date, inspection result and technician.
The OSHA scaffold requirements provide a general reference for scaffold safety in the United States. Local regulations and the manufacturer instructions must be followed for component inspection and replacement.
Ordering and Shipping
Small suspended platform spare parts can be grouped by system and labeled for inventory control. Fragile electrical components should be protected from moisture and impact. Wire ropes should be coiled correctly to avoid sharp bends during transport.
