CE Electric Scissor Lift for Indoor Maintenance Work

This electric scissor lift provides elevated access for maintenance, installation, cleaning and inspection work. The electric self-propelled configuration is selected according to platform height, rated load, ground conditions and working area.

Applications

  • Factory and warehouse maintenance
  • Electrical and mechanical installation
  • Lighting, signage and ceiling work
  • Cleaning and inspection at height
  • Construction finishing on firm ground

Electric machines suit work where low noise and zero operating emissions are required. Outdoor use depends on model, wind limit, ground condition and tires.

Selecting the Correct Scissor Lift

Confirm platform height and working height, combined weight of workers, tools and materials, platform dimensions, doorway restrictions and travel route.

Ground strength and level are critical. Confirm whether outriggers, stabilizers or indoor non-marking tires are required.

Pre-Use Inspection

  • Check guardrails, gates, deck and extension.
  • Inspect tires, steering, brakes and pothole protection.
  • Test lift, drive, lowering and emergency controls.
  • Check batteries, hydraulic hoses and leaks.
  • Test tilt alarms, limit switches and interlocks.
  • Confirm the area is clear of overhead hazards.

The UK Health and Safety Executive provides MEWP safety guidance covering selection, training, inspection and control of overturning or trapping risks. Local rules and the manual must also be followed.

Operating Requirements

Only trained operators should use the lift. Keep within rated load and do not use ladders or boxes on the platform. Do not climb on guardrails or leave the platform while elevated unless an approved procedure permits it.

Maintain clearance from power lines, structures and vehicles. Establish a controlled work area and emergency lowering plan.

Charging and Maintenance

Charge batteries in a ventilated area using the specified charger. Inspect terminals and cables, maintain hydraulic fluid and replace damaged hoses, tires or safety devices. Safety interlocks must never be bypassed.

Keep inspection and maintenance records. Store the machine lowered, isolated and protected from unauthorized use.
